About Alex Bartholomaus
Alex P. Bartholomaus spent over 18 years experience in sales development, business intelligence and performance management. He spent a majority in the beverage industry at Billington Import, where his company's revenue grew from $1.5MM to a peak of $36.5MM in 2008. He was the President and CEO from 1998 until the company was folded into Winebow, Inc in May of 2009.
During his tenure as President and CEO, Billington pioneered the use of sale assessments and behavioral assessments in the beverage industry. This led to a sales team that was one of the best in the industry. Billington's sales team success was driven by the company's ability to find top talent and continue their salespeople's development in an environment where they were motivated to grow faster than the industry norm.
At Winebow, Alex helped Billington’s suppliers and sales team adapt into Winebow and through one sales re-organization. During his tenure, the wineries that came over from Billington spearheaded Winebow’s growth in 2009 and 2010.
Alex is an expert in and writes about Sales Development and Emotional Intelligence. He is also a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst (CPBA) and Certified Professional Values Analyst(CPVA).
